HMC Polymers Company Limited established the first polypropylene manufacturing facility in Thailand in 1987. Since that time it has continued to expand and modernize its facilities. Today it has the most modern technology in Thailand and with capacity of 450,000 tons is one of largest and most advanced facilities in Asia. The company is certified for both ISO 9002 and ISO 14001.
HMC is a joint venture company between Basell Polyolefins and a group of leading Thai companies including Bangkok Bank and Hua Kee Group. A global company, Basell Polyolefins was formed in October 2000 by the merger of the majority of the polyolefin operations of both the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies and BASF. Bangkok Bank is a leading Thai financial institution and one of the largest banks in South East Asia. Hua Kee is active in paper distribution, real estate development, hotels, petrochemicals and energy industries in Thailand. |
